▥ Metrics Fieldbook

About this lab

Metrics Fieldbook is a small illustrative infrastructure journal.

The three machines — cedar-01, basalt-02 and cirrus-03 — are invented. Their uptime, resource utilization and availability figures are synthetic reference values, not measurements from public or private production systems.

Why these three roles?

An interactive gateway, a batch worker and an evaluation sandbox have different operational needs. The example inventory uses Anthropic / Claude, DeepSeek and GLM labels to make those roles easy to discuss, not to claim access to a particular model or a relationship with a vendor.

Reading the dashboard

CPU and memory bars are a fixed illustrative snapshot. They do not refresh. Provider names are descriptive; this site does not call an inference API, accept prompts or publish real infrastructure addresses.
